Tile is by and far one of the most elegant, durable, time tested materials available. Glazed tile dates all the way back to the cradle of civilization, 13th century BC Mesopotamia! Thankfully, thousands of years of advancement have allowed near perfection in the process of manufacturing an incredible amount of shapes, sizes, designs, textures, and finishes to suit your needs.
With all these different options available, it can be difficult to navigate exactly which type of tile is right for you. Fortunately, tile of all kinds are our specialty! Come discuss your project with our knowledgeable sales staff and learn all about porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, glass, metal, and composite tile pieces, the differences between them, and the pros and cons of each. Then we can help you decide on the best material for your desired look and application.
Generally, when people think of tile, they imagine large pieces used for flooring or custom showers. While this was the initial intention, the past few decades have seen a massive increase in decorative mosaics, vastly expanding design and decorative options, giving your home or business a personally unique touch. You can integrate glass, natural stone, and even metal looks into any backsplash, fireplace, shower, or floor to really make your project pop! Your individuality doesn’t have to stop at the material type either. New shapes and designs are constantly being introduced to the market.
We have the largest selections of decorative mosaics between Chicago and St. Louis with some pieces offered exclusively at Arizona Tile. One trip to our store will have your mind running wild with endless creative options to make your project your very own!
Contrary to our name, we also specialize in a wide variety of other surface coverings including traditional carpet. Carpet became a mainstream product in the US in the early 1800’s and has been a staple in most homes since. Modern carpet is usually made from either nylon or polyester, each with their own advantages and drawbacks that any of our sales staff would be happy to inform you of either over the phone or in person! We also have a selection of wool woven and hybrid strand options to choose from as well.
Carpeting is perfect for bedrooms, family rooms, or any other area where comfort is an absolute must. Whether you’re looking for a certain level of softness, that just right color, or an extremely economical wall-to-wall covering, we have what you’re looking for. Creativity doesn’t have to be stifled either; we offer a great selection of patterned and uniquely designed pieces in addition to custom area rugs to place over your hard surfaces available in any of our offered products! Come in and take a look and see that we’re not just tile.
A staple in homes since the 18th century, hardwood flooring can give all of your living spaces a warm and luxurious feel.
The manufacturing process has come a long way since it’s humble beginnings, as untreated, unfinished planks, expanding your choices to just about any species, style, finish, width and sheen you desire. From traditional oak to exotic acacia, hand- scraped to quarter sawn, wire brushed to high gloss, we carry the major manufacturers and smaller niche producers to find the just right look that suits your taste.
Speak with our sales staff to discuss the needs of your project and determine if a traditional ¾” solid hardwood and engineered hardwood flooring would be best for you, both with a range of options to get the exact feel you’re after.
The fastest growing section of hard surface flooring, without
a doubt, has been Luxury Vinyl Tile, also referred to as LVT.
Popularity of this material has been due many of its
outstanding features such as a waterproof surface, stain
resistance, and overall durability. Not to mention the variety
of wood and tile looks, optional grout joints, and textures
and embossing that would make anyone think it was real tile
or hardwood and not a vinyl product. In addition to glue down,
LVT is also offered in a floating version using a locking mechanism
between the planks, giving your floor a feeling of strength and impenetrability. Floating floors also have a lower level of skill required when it comes to installation, making it a perfect choice for the do-it-yourself home improvers! Also along those same lines, a product ideal for those needing a more economical material, traditional laminates are the way to go. Despite being not as dimensionally sound as vinyl, these wood and resin composite laminates offer the same great looks and waterproof top layer as an LVT at a lower cost to you, the consumer with the same ease of installation and durability that stands up to high traffic areas.
Laminate is a great choice for new homeowners, those with rental properties, or contractors! And although we’ve seen a sharp decline in the demand for sheet vinyl, we still have samples available to browse for a quick and easy covering with a familiar look in addition to new and unique designs to update any utility room, laundry room, bathroom, or even kitchen! And newly introduced, we have a small selection of materials that come in 6’ widths instead of 12’ with those smaller areas in mind to give you the most bang for your buck and least amount of waste possible. Come check out all of your available flooring options and speak with any of our staff to determine proper flooring type for your needs.
